Spring and Summer Birds: Crown Hill Park
Tired of winter? So are our feathered friends, who will soon be arriving at a site near you, looking for breeding territories, and broadcasting their desirability to prospective mates. It's a noisy, colorful show.
Join our naturalist to learn techniques for identifying, describing, and remembering each bird you see. You will also learn facts about different birds and have your many bird questions answered.
Adults only please.
This program will be 2 -3 hours long with an option to stay after for a brown bag lunch (not provided).
Hike on Lake Loop Trail and around Kestrel Pond. The total distance is about two miles on flat terrain.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.
Bring with you binoculars, a bird guide, snacks, and water as needed. You can also bring a lunch if you would like to stay after the program to discuss the results of the day.
You will meet the naturalist in the main parking lot of Crown Hill Park.
