Escanaba in Da Moonlight

Sunday, June 7, 1-4pm

Monday, June 8, 7-10pm.

StageDoor Theatre announces auditions for its production of Escanaba in Da Moonlight written by Jeff Daniels, directed by Buz Gibson. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. A comedic monologue is optional. Familiarization with the script and upper peninsula accents a plus but not required. Auditions will take place at StageDoor Theatre at: 25797 Conifer Road, Conifer, CO.

PERFORMANCES: August 20-29; Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings

All Roles Available:

Albert Soady - (60‘s) Patriarch of the Soady clan

Reuben Soady - (30’s-40’s) Oldest son of Albert. Not too bright, stressed that he may become the oldest Soady to never shoot a buck.

Remnar Soady - (30’s-40’s) Reuben’s not too bright brother. Wants a traditional

Soady camp experience without being tainted by Reuben’s bad luck.

Jimmy “the Jimmer” Negamanee - (30’s-60’s, ageless) Soady hunting partner. Famous for his capacity for drinking.

Tom T. Treado - (30‘s-50‘s) Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Ranger.

Cameo role: Wolf Moon Dance - Native American wife of Reuben whose mystical remedies lead Rueben to his deer hunting destiny.
